healed and sassy

Okay, it's been about 10 days since LeRoy lost the round with the grinder. His lip has healed, the stitches are out, we took them out(mostly he did since I couldn't see them) and I think he must be about 10 years old. He healed quickly for an old guy and the scar is not even noticeable. He thought he should stop by the hospital and thank the PA that sewed him up. No need for a plastic surgeon, It looks great.
Not much of action type stuff going on, other than a melt down (actually 2) at work Thursday. I got the shaft again because someone didn't get a certification renewed that is required by our facility and now they won't let her work. Well Thursday was her late day and I was the second late person. There was a late case and usually only the first late person has to stay to do that, well with her lapse of certification, which by the way she knew was expiring weeks ago, I became the first late person. It also happened with another last Friday and I ended up working 11 1/2 hours. That about killed me. Anyway, that was another person and it always seems the Sheila and I are the ones picking up the slack for a couple of other people and frankly, I'm tired of it. My charge person knows that too and she is trying to take care of the problem.
The second melt down came when PACU nurse, (I'll call her Toni) accused me of stealing a pen. I have had the pen for months and it was given to me by another nurse. Well, the crap meter already being full, I threw the pen across the floor and told them to keep it I had another. The girl that gave it to me then brought it to the OR to give it back, which of course, me being me, refused. Told her to keep it which she wouldn't do, so I threw it away. I know seem stupid, but again the crap meter was full.
Yesterday was a day for Dale and I and I think my ESP was working quite well. We went to knit club, then the Olive Garden for soup and salad followed by bingo across the street at Red Rock Casino. We had no idea where we were going to eat until about 10:30 when something in my brain told me to have soup and salad and bingo at Red Rock. I told Dale it was an Epiphany and she agreed.
Much to our surprise, since neither of us ever won a game of bingo there, we both won. Dale won $100 first. I said it's my turn and sure enough it was. I won a game paying $150. It was still early in the session and I said I don't think we're done winning yet and low and behold I won the coverall for $250 and only needed one more number for the second chance coverall of another $250. But I graciously settled for the $400 and was happy for a change.
Leroy and I went to Joe's crab shack and casino hopping after. I was not winning the he was crabby, which means he wasn't winning anything either. Went to Fiesta and I was down significantly. I was ready to leave, found him playing a machine, sat down beside him, put $10 in the machine, (which he said he had just played and it wasn't paying) and was down to $6 and I wanted to leave. I hid the machine for $112.15. He was PO'd. I cashed out $115 and we came home. I ended up only down $7 for the whole evening.
He was a little pouty so I'm taking him out for breakfast this morning, then taking the dogs up to Mt. Charleston for a little hiking and exercise.
The weather is warm and sunny, but then we only get sunny weather 361 days a year, what would you expect.
I'll take some pics at the mountain and get those posted so keep looking. Later all. Kaye
