I'm sooooo bad

I know, I know it has bbeen way too long since i have put any updates on this space. I have pics but they are on my phone and I don't know how to get them off so here is a lengthy disertaion of what has been happening for the las 5 months or so.
I got a new job. I work for United Health Care Insurance company as a case manager in the hospital setting. My usual place of work is Desert Springs Hospital but I get floated to other hospitals around the city when they are short and it happens to be my turn. What I do is not hands on medical care, but planning for patients to go home from the hospital with the equipment and supplies that they may need, or plan for them to go to a medical rehabe hospitall to continue their medical care before going home. It's kind of a step down hospital. Too sick to go home but not sick enough to stay in the acute hospital setting. It has taken some time for me to get used to the work, but I like it most days, just like any other jo. It has it's good a bad.
jamie and his family came for Thanksgiving. We had such a good time and Cameron got an education about Las Vegas . He now knows "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" ,means. Thanks to the show girl he got his picture taken with. I believe they had a good time and will come back.
It has been a slightly warmer than normal winter. Temps have been in the 60s for the most part and by the end of this month it should start to warm up some. I guess I am truely converted to a desert rat. I think it has been cold and if it only gets into the 50s I'm freezing.
Marty is still fat as a pig. We thought having the puppy, Bitz, would thin him down some. NOT! Oh, she keeps him active and that's a good thing. I wouldn't want to see him if she didn't play with him so much. He would look like a pot belly pig, I'm sure. Kiki is still hanging in there. She is 15 and a half years old and senile as hell. She sleeps 23 hours and 45 minutes a day, can't hear much, and doesn't see so well either. Her big thing is to get up at the butt crack of dawn and go bark on the patio at nothing. There is no solution for the problem. Just give her a treat and send her back to bed. She'll come tritty trotting out in the evenings and head straight for the patio, like there has been a security breach or something. About a minute later she comes back, no barking, just heads for the bedroom (she sleeps in our closet) and in about 5 minutes does it again.
Some excitement this past Fall had everyone in a snit for a few days in our neighborhood. The body of a young girl was found in the desert just outside of our gate. Murdered. Apparently she had been missing for a couple of days and her friends were conducting a search when they found her there. A 19 year old male has been arrested, and pretty quickly, for the murder. She was his second victim, but his first murder. They think he has all the traits of a serial killer from his back ground. I hope they fry him, personally. This is usually a very quiet place and he disrupted it and took the life of someone that had only walked to school to get a book she needed to get her homework done.
Christmas was my day to work, but it was all done telephonic. i just called in and did all my work on the computer and phone. i did not, and was not expected to see patients. Then I came home and spent time with the spouse.
Speaking of him. He is great. Still working at the community in the maintenance department taking care of the club house and welding the fencing around the golf course. He fixes dinner every Sunday since I work. My schedule is 4 ten hour days, Sunday through Wednesday. He does the laundry and cooks on Sunday. It has been very helpful and I still like him :).
We have joined the 21st century too.. We have gotten a new TV with all the internet component capabilities. Netflix etc. It will even play 3D movies and we now have a blue ray player. And if that isn't enough, we got blue teeth (or is it tooth) for our phones. I know one is a tooth, but if you get more than one is it teeth? Anyway, since the law here says no hand held devices while driving or a 250 dollar fine, and we both tend to get phone calls on our way to work, we decided to have the thingys hanging from our ears. He wears his all day. I only usually wear mine at work or while we are out.
We love the new TV and the movies are great on blue ray. Now I need to decide what to do with all those VHS tapes we have collected that probably won't play anymore anyway. What am I waiting for?
Dale and I go to a knit group every Saturday. Now don't think it's a bunch of old ladies sitting around knitting and bitching. It is, but we used to meet at a bar and now we meed at Barnes and Noble. The bar was too dark. And we have a member that is 12 years old named Paige. After knit group we go to lunch with Mamie and Diana. A couple of real neat friends. Diana's husband was a famous rodeo roper, Terrell Adams. He died just over a year ago from a heart attack. Then after lunch Dale and I usually go to bingo, we don't usually win, but we are forever hopeful and very bitchy when we don't. Last year, you may recall, I hit a jackpot of 10,000 dollars and then 1500 when I was at the airport. I was very afraid of taxes this year, but it worked out fine.

We are planning a trip to Ohio in May, probably around the 18th until the 26th. We have to wait till the snow melts and time it to before the mosquitoes and humidity get bad. We haven't seen any of those 3 things since moving here, with the exception of snow. I can see it on the mountain outside the kitchen window and it's 20 miles away. Close enough!

Well that's about it for now. I'll try not to be so bad as to wait another 6 months before updating everyone again. Roger sent me an email and asked how we were. So he prompted this update. Thanks Rog. I'll try to figure out how to get the pictures off my phone and onto the puter so the next one will have some pictures of our life in Vegas. Work, work, work. Later everyone. Take care and be safe. See you all in May.
